Welcome to Clickly. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

By using Clickly, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account and use Clickly, we collect:

Account Information: Email address, name, and password (encrypted)

Profile Information: Display name, avatar selection, background theme preferences

Task and Calendar Data: Tasks, goals, plans, due dates, completion status, and notes you create

Check-in Responses: Your responses to daily reflection questions and check-ins

Group Information: Group names, memberships, and shared tasks if you use the groups feature

Suggestions and Feedback: Information about suggestions you accept or dismiss

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect:

Usage Data: Features used, time spent in app, tasks completed, streaks, XP earned

Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers

Performance Data: Crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics

Analytics Data: Anonymized usage patterns to improve the App

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

With your permission, we may access:

Apple Calendar: Calendar events you choose to sync with Clickly

Apple Reminders: Reminders you choose to sync with Clickly

Authentication Services: Information from Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In (email, name, unique ID)

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and Maintain the Service: Enable core features like task management, AI-powered planning, and goal tracking

Personalize Your Experience: Generate personalized suggestions, track your progress, and adapt to your preferences

Send Notifications: Deliver daily task summaries, suggestions, and reflection reminders (with your permission)

Sync Across Devices: Store your data securely in the cloud so you can access it from multiple devices

Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, improve performance, and develop new features

Provide Customer Support: Respond to your questions, requests, and feedback

Ensure Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

Comply with Legal Obligations: Respond to legal requests and enforce our terms

3. AI FEATURES AND DATA PROCESSING

Clickly uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to provide intelligent features:

Conversational Planning: Your prompts are sent to Anthropic's API to generate personalized task plans

Suggestions: Your goals and check-in responses are processed to generate helpful suggestions

Data Sent to AI: Only the specific information needed for the feature (your prompt, goals, or check-in) is sent

No Training: Your data is not used to train AI models

Data Retention: AI processing is ephemeral; data is not stored by the AI provider beyond the request

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

4.1 With Your Consent

When you join a group, your name and shared tasks are visible to other group members.

4.2 Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers:

Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, analytics, and cloud storage

Anthropic: AI-powered features (conversational planning, suggestions)

Apple: Push notifications, calendar/reminder sync, and Sign-In with Apple

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for providing services to us.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

4.4 Business Transfers

If Clickly is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. DATA SECURITY

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest

Authentication: Secure authentication via Firebase with password hashing

Access Controls: Strict access controls limit who can access your data

Security Rules: Firestore security rules ensure users can only access their own data

Regular Audits: We regularly review and update our security practices

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. DATA RETENTION

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can delete your account at any time, which will permanently delete all your personal data from our servers, remove your authentication account, delete all your tasks, goals, check-ins, and plans, and remove you from any groups you've joined.

Some information may be retained in backup systems for up to 30 days before permanent deletion.

7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

7.1 Access and Update

You can access and update your profile information, tasks, and preferences within the App at any time.

7.2 Delete Your Account

You can delete your account in Settings, then Advanced, then Delete Account. This action is irreversible and will permanently delete all your data.

7.3 Notifications

You can control notification preferences in Settings, then Notifications, or through your device settings.

7.4 Calendar and Reminders Sync

You can revoke access to Apple Calendar and Reminders at any time through your device settings.

7.5 Export Your Data

Contact us at team@tryclickly.com to request a copy of your data in a portable format.

7.6 Opt-Out of Analytics

You can disable analytics tracking in Settings, then Privacy (feature coming soon).

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Clickly is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at team@tryclickly.com and we will delete it.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States. By using Clickly, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country.

10. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. You have the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information, though we do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. EUROPEAN PRIVACY RIGHTS (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access and request a copy of your personal data. You have the right to correct inaccurate personal data. You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. You have the right to restrict how we process your data. You have the right to receive your data in a portable format. You have the right to object to processing of your personal data. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

12. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App, updating the "Last Updated" date, and sending you an in-app notification or email for material changes.

Your continued use of Clickly after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
