Privacy Policy

Last updated — June 15, 2026 victorasooye@gmail.com

mybudget (“mybudget,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Clickly LLC, helps you understand how much you can safely spend by securely connecting to your financial accounts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using mybudget, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account and profile information. When you create an account, we collect basic information such as your name, email address, and preferences like your time zone and currency.

Financial account data (via Plaid). mybudget uses Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to securely connect to your bank, credit card, and other financial accounts. When you link an account, Plaid retrieves information on our behalf, including account details (such as institution name, account type, and balances) and transaction history (such as amounts, dates, merchants, and categories). We use this to detect your bills, income, and spending. We never see or store your bank login credentials — those are handled directly by Plaid. Your use of Plaid is also governed by Plaid’s privacy policy, available at plaid.com/legal.

Apple Card, Apple Cash, and Apple Savings data (via FinanceKit). If you choose to connect your Apple Card, Apple Cash, or Apple Savings, mybudget uses Apple’s FinanceKit framework to read your transactions and balances on your device, with your permission. This data is used only to present your own financial picture inside the app. Consistent with Apple’s requirements, FinanceKit data is never sold, shared with third parties for their own use, or used for advertising. You can revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings.

Information we generate. To provide the service, we create and store derived information such as your detected bills, income, savings goals, and your computed daily spendable amount.

Device and notification data. If you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can send you reminders and alerts.

2. How we use your information

We use your information solely to operate and improve mybudget, specifically to:

  • Calculate how much you can safely spend each day, accurately reflecting your bills, income, and spending across your linked accounts.
  • Detect recurring bills and income and let you confirm them.
  • Show you your spending, balances, and financial trends.
  • Send you reminders and alerts you’ve enabled.
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal or financial information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us run mybudget, and only as needed to provide the service:

  • Plaid — connects to your financial institutions and retrieves account and transaction data.
  • Supabase — provides the secure cloud database and backend infrastructure that stores your account data.
  • Apple — FinanceKit (on-device) and the Apple Push Notification service (for notifications).

Sharing you choose. If you use mybudget’s sharing features to share your budget with another person, the information you choose to share will be visible to the people you invite.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition). We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data security

We protect your information using industry-standard safeguards, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and row-level security on our database. As noted above, your bank credentials are handled by Plaid and never stored by us, and FinanceKit data is processed on your device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

5. Your rights and choices

You can:

  • Access and update your account information within the app.
  • Disconnect any linked financial account at any time.
  • Revoke Apple Card / FinanceKit access in iOS Settings.
  • Delete your account and associated data directly in the app.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us at the email below.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your associated personal and financial data from our active systems, though residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten. FinanceKit data is accessed on your device and is not retained on our servers.

7. Children’s privacy

mybudget is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice within the app. Your continued use of mybudget after an update means you accept the revised policy.
